How to Register Your Son
If you would like your son to be considered for a place, whether for our main entry points or an occasional place, a registration form will need to be completed. Once completed you will be taken to our online payment screen where a £150 registration fee is payable. Upon receipt of the completed registration form and fee, you will receive an email confirming the entry point for your son.
Shrewsbury House Registration Form
Entry Points
- Reception: via the 4+ Observed Play Session
- Year 3: via the 7+ Assessment
- Year 4: via the 8+ Assessment
- Other: via an Occasional Place Assessment
Please note that for boys to be considered for any entry point, they must be registered.
| 7+ and 8+ Assessment |
|---|
Assessments take place in the November preceding the year of entry, ie., when a boy is in Year 2 or 3.Once registered, parents will be contacted at the start of the Autumn term and asked to confirm their son’s attendance at the assessment by completing an online form. School reports are requested at this time from parents and permission is sought to contact the current school for a Head’s report. |
| Occasional Place Assessments |
|
If parents missed the 7+ and 8+ Assessment for entry into Year 3 or 4, they should contact our Head of Admissions to discuss the possibility of entry via an Occasional Place Assessment. Subject to availability and circumstances, Occasional Place Assessments may be offered at short notice, for entry to other year groups. For international candidates, arrangements can be made for an assessment to be taken in the country of residence, or online. |
Acceptance Deposit
£2,520 is payable on acceptance of a place. The deposit is retained until the end of Year 8 (or the end of the pupil’s final term) at Shrewsbury House, providing a term’s notice is given.
