Pupil Voice

At the heart of our educational approach is a commitment to nurturing pupil voice, empowering pupils not only in the classroom but also in the decision-making processes that shape our school community.

School Council

Our School Council has been elected annually since 2011, consisting of boys from each year group plus the Head Boy and Deputy Head Boys. The School Council meets regularly to discuss a variety of matters relating to School life, suggesting initiatives, areas for focus and feeding back decisions to their respective Tutor groups.

Pupil Perspectives Committee

This is a recent initiative designed to give boys a voice in school life. Members are Year 8 boys who have been through the school and bring experience and insight. They meet with Mrs Hubbard regularly to discuss ideas and provide feedback on aspects of school life, helping staff understand pupils’ views and priorities. The committee supports the development of leadership, responsibility, and collaboration skills while contributing to the ongoing improvement of the school community.

Charity Events

The Council also recommends a specific charity each year which will to benefit from the wide range of pupil led charity events. From shoe collections for children in Laos to providing medical facilities in hospitals, our pupils make a difference and understand the importance of civic responsibility.
